For Alice - my first "Picture of the Week", in keeping with at least a once a month homage to street lights. This one also features a couple of pigeons!
Overcast afternoon on the pier at San Clemente, and yes, technically the day before 2012, but I'm counting it anyway!
I like these types of street shots (well, in this case wharf). You get the chance to study the people living their lives. Such as the guy taking a shot of only two lights and no people – no idea of how to compose a photo. I like the fisherman next to the farthest light for some reason but it is the pigeon that makes the shot. Well done.
Oh! I love it. And thanks for taking up the double double challenge (heh-heh)
the contrast between the stark sky and the boardwalk is what makes this especially appealing.
