Devine female beauty at it's finest in this photograph, what the pentacle really stands for

I really, really love this. And I respect you for submitting it for a challenge because so many people tend to automatically think negatively when they come across images with pentacles/pentagrams. I, for one, think it's absolutely beautiful!

Good shot, GF. The blue tint to parts of the model brings it down, though. It is a powerful image, though, and evokes several emotions, sometimes conflicting, just in a single lookover.

i like the idea of this shot..reminds me of that drawing of a man and a pentacle, but something about it doesn't work for me..maybe its the outline of your model. She has the gentle curves of a feminine form, but her pose does not really play on that at all. And the fact that I can't see her face makes this picture unsettling for me. It almost scares me. I think its a very emotional reaction to the shot.

how did you make the rope stay on the head?

Very interesting photo. Not sure what to make of it.

nice idea, great lighting, but some remarks : this image in my opinion needs perfect symmetry, also in the background light, which is not the case. Also I see blue area's on the body which I find distracting, also because these are not symmetrical.

I like this a lot. Firstly it was a cleaver idea. The editing really adds to the artistic feel of the photo. I am sure you will draw fire from many who will complain about photography vs digital art. Don't let it bog you down. I like this and it's among my top picks.

I don't know why, but I feel this image would've been so much more perfect had this been a man. This is one of my favorite images out of all the shots I've seen.

Now if I had to guess the photographer, I would hazard a guess that it was graphicfunk.

This has a real 70's glam rock vibe to it and I imagine to people that liked that style this would be a perfect ten.

For me it's a bit too unique for my tastes. The model pose is well executed - everything straight and in proportion. The elastic / rope is very well executed again.

the light i would like to see moved toward her front more, casting more light on her sides to give a hint f definition, as it is there isn't enough. the background really isn't to my tastes - but again i can give credit for it's apparent era ;)

I am very unsure about this - it really isn't the kind of photograph i go for (although I can see it's very well made)l, but there is something drawing me to it!!

Is this an evil shot? whats up with the satanic references? isn't it pentogram? anyway- I love the camel toe and the models hips.

Interesting. Dodging & Burning a little obvious here. Maybe a little more light on the model so it is not so dark, and just a sihlouette. Nice idea & well cropped.

I have been back to look at this photo numerous times, trying to decide exactly what to say. It's extremely powerful and emotional. The backlighting and background is very nice, but maybe a bit overprocessed. The pose is beautiful as is the use of the cord for the five-sided star. There is just a hint of silhoutted female genitalia visible, which is a bit of a distraction (at least to my male eye). But the overall impact of this photo is significant. Very good entry.

cool idea but I would have preferred more even (or much more uneven) lighting

Great idea.. very orginail and nicely executed. The only thing I find a little distracting is the purple. It does add an element of colour and helps define her shape. Possibly if there were more of it, it would seem more integrated than it does now..... just a thought

A bit over-processed for my taste though I think the concept is cool.
