They come on consecutive nights. The first one comes on the 12th and the last on on the 24th. Then one by one they leave in the same order they came so the last one leaves on Jan. 6th and that's when Christmas is officially over in Iceland. |

Looks like a nice tradition, and you did well! Do the Yule lads come on the same night, or consecutive nights? |

Guess I have to try that once myself :) Have to wait a year though , we have that tradition in the weeks before December 5 (St. Nicolas day). |
