 Not a microphone....... when I was in 7th grade my science teacher gave us an assignment. "Make 100 observations of a candle" - in one night. whoooo.... daunted and sweating I started examining the candle....flame lit, from every perspective. I discovered that when you hold a screen on top of the flame it appears somewhat hollow and you can see into the different rings of heat intensity. This was not quite the shot I wanted but I liked the off center eye-like flame. It's cut by a tea strainer. I suppose I should figure out and list the steps of editing but I have more fun observing the unusual and tweaking reality while reality tweaks me. Besides, I REALLY need to get heat in my studio - I'm getting a wood stove this weekend (crossing my fingers!!!) otherwise I will have to burn more candles TO STAY WARM....HAHAHAH and I should be painting and doing my pottery. I haven't made more than 150 bucks this year selling any paintings - usually rake in at least several thousand.... haven't entered shows....this DPC challenge is an addiction! Contributions accepted.... :-(((

i dont know what this is but i find it oddly compelling. been staring at it for two minutes dont know if i like it or hate it but it's cool. 8
