 As the title suggest I took this shot putting my camera on a Lazy Susan and spinning it for a one second exposure whilst pointed at my ceiling that has a collection of hanging Christmas Balls. Also, some of the colours and shapes reminded me of the cloud rings on Jupiter. I found some interesting things in nature that had circles such as spider webs and sand at low tide but I wanted to try something completely different. There is still a few days so I might try and get a web shot as I always enjoy those.

I’ve slightly cropped it to off-centre the image. Mucked around with different Topaz Adjust 5 and Topaz DeNoise as well as levels, curves and un-sharpen mask to get the abstract result that appealed to me.

I have a few other shots from this session that created some very different results but this is the first that I got a chance to muck around with so I’ve entered it. If this is the one that got voted on then I either didn’t get the time to play with any of the other shots or this just happen to be the best of the lot. Anyway, I’m happy with the abstract shot and feel confident that it will score low.

One last thing – I spent hours mucking around with my 50mm prime lens that I dropped and broke a few months ago and got it back together. I used it for this series of circle shots before it promptly fell apart again. Sigh

This is so delicious! Whatever you did with the spinning, pp'ing, etc., created a jewel. Congrats on the gallery
