No selective desaturation was used in the making of this image, LOL. The walls are a dingy, peeling, graying white paint. The sign's a sun-faded, very dark steely blue that probably once was royal blue. The only bright color in the scene was the translucent lifering-type float.

Interesting way to look at this scene. This is a case where the selective saturation doesn't actually seem to hurt anything (I don't know that it helps, but it doesn't hurt).

Normally I hat selective desat anymore but for this shot I think it works very well
