 Photographer’s Notes
Shot at Aviation Nation, Nellis AFB, Las Vegas, Nevada. It is a vintage F-86F Super Sabre. I’ve often wondered how to open the canapy of a modern jet fighter so I was looking at many different models and each has a diminutive button to press to gain access. No required keys. Guess it would be bad to lose the keys if you're being scrambled to defend the free world. "Sorry Captain, I left the keys in my other pants ..." would not look good on a resume.

I do not have high hopes for this image's score - but don't want to score a zero in WPL - and I like entering one-of-a-kind images. I'm pretty sure we won't see anything like this in the challenge.

Not the sort of ordinary details that most people see everyday, but I like it. With the exception of the motif, the details are ordinary. Some panels look a little beat up which gives the picture an honesty. I like.
