 Some spot editing at the top of the frame... clumsily done, but then I'm shattered after just getting back from Scotland at 3:00am.

5th place, I wasn't expecting that! Thanks everyone, and I'm glad it was worth coming back from Loch Ness to Yorkshire in one day to enter this shot.

Beautifully saturated colors and I like the color contrast here. DOF is excellent. Composition is a mixed bag as I like the natural frame produced by the overarching foliage in the background, but the foliage below invades the space of the flower's stamens and is quite distracting. One more nit pick: there seems to be a leaf out of place in the upper left hand corner.

beuatiful colors, but not sure if lily works with lichens, did you do hand place the lily?

WOW! This will surely end up in my top 10 if not my top 3. The colors are vibrant without hurting my teeth. Background is as interesting as the foreground but compliments rather than competes. Very Very Nicely Done!

An absolutely beautiful flower, but my mind's eye wants to see this against a black background. It would make the red really pop and the brownish anthers would still be very strong. As it is, the background is too busy for me and distracts away from the central subject.

Ahh - the tiger lily is so great a specimen. It really needs a plain non-distracting background unlike the lichen behind the stamens now. The orange color is stunning. Border does not need the white lines.
