First challenge that I actually went out and spent money on. Got the idea but didn't have a Rubik's cube, so I went out and bought one just to be able to take it apart.

The wall shot was done by hanging the cube on a screw in the wall, the "flying" pieces were connected by paperclips stuck into the drywall. Cloned out the screw and paperclips. Not much done to the other shots. Exposure, sharpen, noise reduction, clarity and vibrance boost in lightroom. Cropped and levels in photoshop. One of the cubes had a hot spot from the lighting that I cloned out.

Combined them all together and added the text and borders. Saved for web.

Lighting.
Wall shot entirely lit by flash. All others had a CFL behind the cube, a 85W CFL behind an umbrella hand held to light the bottom front, and flash bounced off the ceiling.

Steps 3 & 4 showing the same sides was complete coincidence. Step 4 I shot first and step 3 was last

HAHA, I hate those things! I used to peel the stickers off and stick them according to the side.

love it, id have preferred something more extreme like a sledge hammer hehe, one slight thing that bothers me is 3 white panels and 1 painted wall....
