An experiment that worked better than I expected it to. My original idea for this challenge had been to reproduce one of this sort of abstract that I shot several months ago:
However, I was unable to find one of the fabric wind whirlies I needed. Apparently, they are a seasonal item for spring.
This was done playing around after lunch one day. It is a plastic condiment cup with some Italian salad dressing in it, lit from underneath with a flashlight. I thought the chunks of visible veggies would be a giveway, but none of my WPL team knew what it was. I suppose it is such an odd thing to use, that it's outside the realm of what someone would think of.
Not a clue how this one will perform. I like it, but it's really hard to have any advance feel with abstracts. Except for oil & water shots. Those always do well. (The abstract wine glass?)
