 I took this photo in between timelapses from Half Dome's Diving Board. In this photo my friend is monitoring his camera as it timelapses the valley floor. This picture reminds of the many hours I've spent observing beautiful landscapes I've captured and why I love timelapse photography.

I like your choice of leaving the haze and not stripping that out in post. It's a powerful image, and like this it's more realistic, natural, earthy. It would not be so powerful on it's own. The placement of your sidekick ads depth and emotion.
