production still for a play I was asked to photograph. They told me they wanted a "vintage", old movie look.

Captured the movie look ok, model is a classic, like the grain and the sepia, and I don't mind the rocket fuselage, kinda kinky like her expression. Nice one, you're happy with it?.

I love everything about this, except the part I hate. That big metal duct is like the sound of a flubbed trombone note in a violin concerto. My eye is bouncing around in all the delicate lines and textures and, smack! It keeps running into that darned duct. Clone, heal, cut and paste, make it go away, it burns!

It has a definite vintage feel. I love the slant of her pose, the lighting on her face and blouse, and the multiple mirror reflections. It is interesting that there are three different reflections of her back. It is like all of her images have turned their back on her.

The big vertical duct in the background is a bit of a distraction for me -- I might have tried to crop that out. Although, maybe not. The duct, exposed wire above her head, and burned out bulb combine to give it a tainted glamor feel.

Another very compelling image, Johanna.

Lovely one Johanna, great atmosphere, could have been taken 50 years ago.

Yes that is a cool shot Johanna, I can see why you like it, reminds me of the ole days, I esp like her reflection in the side mirror.
