Quick entry.

Struggled with the lights to get enough contrast in the wood table texture. Went with 430EX II 1/8 gelled with 1/8 CTO bounced from above.

Hand belongs to my girlfriend.

I don't understand where you're going with this.

Hard to believe the scores you give out.

take away the candles and the extra glass and rebalance and you got yourself an uber A. refreshing thought.

I don't like that the hand appears to be dark and dirty but the rest of this is very cool. The branch is such a compelling and unexpected addition to the scene.

Nice still life. A lot of thought went into this.

You are asking too much. Should have make it simpler.

The arm is a very strange color, which almost looks to me like it belongs to a corpse : / That, paired with unfinished wood, an empty-looking glass, a bare grape vine, and half-melted candles just adds to the "death" theme for me. I'm not sure if that's what you were going for.

interesting set-up...not sure if I would have included the candles...they don't seem to add and they look a bit sloppy (melted sides) and to me it would have been a cleaner set-up without them...that's not to say this isn't well done...

I will have to come back and check, but I think I recognize those candles and the table from another entry in the "above" challenge...so going on a limb again... pederlol?

Interesting tones in this one. Seems to have a cool temperature. The hand seems to also cast a morose tone to the image; the nails are an unhealthy looking color in this light! Interesting idea; I'm curious to see where it will finish.

Interesting perspective you chose. I like the way you processed this, but I'm not sure why you chose two very distorted candles. That ruins the clean lines throughout this image for me.
