This is a hilarious idea. Very political, unique, creative and wonderfully executed. I like how the shape of the figure seems to show up in the outline of shadow in the reflection. I think this is photoshopped, mainly because the pawns look "selected" out of their background. I'm also unable to match up the reflection of the king to the actual figure.

Real, probably. I like the foreground/background shapes, the dark look, the shallow DOF and the symbolic noose. Hope it does well.

chess pieces on a mirror? the pawns don't look real but it's an interesting picture with a story going on, I like it.
