@All: Thanks for all the comments.
I was lucky with the very beautifull combination of fog and sunlight a the time I made this photo.

@Ursula: Thanks, I'm very happy with my D70. Since you have one too, I'm sure you know why :)

Wish this had scored higher - it was one of my favorites! If I were you, I'd put this up on DPC Prints - it's a great piece I'm sure would sell!

Congratulations on your 26th placing. This is a truly lovely entry with that distance factor.

Beautiful! It's good to see you back. I see you have a Nikon D70 now, do you like it?

I like the simplicity a lot in this photo and find it one of the best in this challenge, if not the best, It would make a nice wall deco imo. I would give you a ribbon for it if I could.

very nice atmospheric image, great composition and depth.

Good composition and the faded background really emphasises the distance between the trees.
Nicely done...9

Interesting image but your horizon is crooked: higher to left and lower in the right. It's a good idea to ALWAYS check your horizons before submitting. I think it's made even more vident by the lawn patterns. Love the foggy look in the back.

I love the midground silhoutette, the background misting, and the foreground grass with excellent saturation. The contrasting horizontal and vertical elements also play together nicely. Great job!

The misty background trees move this from plain to interesting, good eye

Nice sense of depth and good decision to crop so close.

Great picture! This one would make a neat "Wall Picture" :)

This is gorgeous. (I love poplars, they are so photogenic). Nice contrast between foreground and misty background.

I like the perspective composition with the silhouetted trees in the foreground set against the less defined trees of the background and the fog. Just not sure this is how a botonical photograph would look. This is more of an artistic treatment rather than a representative one you could study the plant with.
