Turns out it's very hard to get the sun in exactly the right spot when a light breeze keeps moving the flower and you're going blind from trying to see where the sun is/was! Discovered on the Lens Flare challenge that this lens makes pretty starbursts so it was my first and only choice. The flower and the sun had the only interesting color in the scene so I desaturated everything else.

Used diffused fill flash to get detail on the flower.

PP - cropped, lightened midtones, increased contrast slightly, increased saturation, desaturated everything but flower and sun/rays, touched up sensor dust spots, blurred background more, burnt some near flower, dodged top of sky slightly, resized, sharpened, added border.

Oh I'll have to go listen to that Cat Stevens song. I had a friend get married in the 70's and she walked down the aisle to that recording.
