 All summer, I've been watching this sun get ever closer to being in-line with this palm tree. It was just dumb luck that it ended up here during this challenge's timeframe.

I had to stand on the roof of my truck to get the correct vantage point. Even then I still had power lines and poles to clone out.

The processing was a bit of a challenge as the cloning became evident once I started playing with the sharpness, contrast, and saturation in Topaz Detail.

Although I like this image, I feel like it's still lacking...I see a sub-5 in my future with this.

Reminiscent of a triptych panel. Cool shapes and contrast, great color and silhouette. Interesting stuff.

When I first saw this on the thumbnail page I was a bit taken aback by the long narrow framing, but oh does it work! In fact, this would make a great bookmark, in addition to a killer print.

Lovely shot, perfect round sun, palm silhouette and some dramatic clouds. The DPC 800px limitiation is well, limiting..
