Yay, a real contender for a new personal worst. When I resized for submission with strange software, I wound up resizing the image but not the canvas. The background in the software was the same as the canvas, so I did not notice the mistake. When I went to submit, the image was too large. I thouht maybe I forgot to resize. This time I managed to resize the whole thing. With the white background, I didn't notice the problem. By the time I did, I was unable to resubmit a correctly resized image before rollover. Well perhaps it will get the brown. (Just what I've always not wanted.). I considered a self DQ, but I'm a believer in once it's laid it's played. So I'm seeing it through.

I am amazed this came in last- so creative, obscure, perhaps not granular enough for some- but still a good story.

Thanks for the explanation of your submission troubles, and I'm sorry you achieved one of my goals (getting brown with a good image) by accident. I may have to steal your process if you don't mind. It is a fine image, and the eccentric placement in the frame gives it a nice twist. Oh the power of the random!

Quite an interesting read. So this was not an intentional effort to thumb your nose at the border patrol? Makes it even more cool in an odd way. So what was the strange software that did this?

Congrats on the (arguable) glory of winning the brown!

Cool shot. I like the idea to open it up and then get a thumbnail.

Not voting on this one. I don't understand what this has to do with granular.

Wow...not sure about the 'Granular' part...but...I LOVE THE FRAME...! Totally...I've been wanting to do something like this for years but was not brave enough. The title is righteous too!

Hard to give this entry a vote. I suggest that you (re)read the entry rules which say that you can go till 800 pxls on the longest side of your entry.
Use them. I won't give you a score since I'm sure you'll get hammered enough already.
