| As someone who has been up close and personal with what you refer to as Algae, I can attest to it's granular properties ... to get a turtle working it's way through it is a great capture .. I hope this shot does well - it's well photographed, suits the challenge to a T and it's unusual - an 8 from me. |

| Actually, this is duckweed. It is made up of zillions of tiny individual plants. Thus the granularity. It's nice camouflage for the turtles, and good food for the ducks. I like your DOF on this. |
