 Thanks for the great comments. Considering the people that have made them, it's probably my favorite submission to DPC that I've made.

Blind luck, literally. Went to the square and aimed straight up, hoping to get a pigeon on approach to the fountain.

Photomatix really brought out the flare. It's not very apparent on the unedited RAW file, but I really liked the composition and bird, so I moved some sliders and hoped for the best.

I'm glad you submitted this one! I really love it. Not voting, obviously, but I would give this 8 or more. Perhaps even a 10 with a coveted favourite. I'd have to think about it for awhile. It's so symmetric. Great great capture.

What a fantastic pov!!!! I love this image. So much to absorb, enjoy. Gorgeous flare, and the textured sky. The exceptionally detailed pigeon, the drops from the fountain. And the tower piercing the sky. Great balance. A fave.
