 I got chatting to this couple after the guy asked me for directions to help him try to find a hostel. Otherwise they weren't sure where they were going to sleep that night. The guy's girlfriend was clearly upset and I had absolutely no intention of intruding upon their obvious misfortune by taking their picture. But then as I was saying goodbye, they asked me if I'd take a pic of them together.
