I love the framing of this. It makes me feel like I'm high up in a tree, in a cramped place. The colours and shapes of the twigs are really nice. You've thought a lot about the challenge topic too. It shoes a lot more insight than a lot of the photos, which don't really feature things that were "made" by anyone (unless you're religious). One of my 10s.

I think some of the bottom of the photo could have been cropped. Still a nice photo with a great title.

Nicely done -- good DOF and details in the nest!

Dangerous getting high enough to photograph into this home. But you did a great job. This photo technically has it right plus to me it has interest and appeal. Wonder what kind of bird lived there, where is he/she now, how many babies did they have? Good photojournal shot in my opinion also. Should do well in this challenge. I'd give it an 8. PTL

This is a great "untouched by man" photo. my only complaint is the blown out branches toward the bottom. Otherwise, the angle and framing/cropping are good, and the focus is great. The lighting on the subject its self is good as well. Great find. Good luck in the challenge.

Sweet shot, did you have to climb the neighboring tree? (risking your camera?) I like this shot very much. Great title. 9 Swash

challenge -- met
composition -- good positioning of the nest in the frame. i like that branch to the left that seems to be coming out at the viewer and gives the photo a good feeling of depth.
technical -- just a few blown out hightlights where the sunlight hit the surrounding branches, but not too distracting. nice focus and sharpness.
overall impression -- good photo of a not overwhelmingly interesting (to me) subject.

Brilliant shot, fits the challenge to the letter.

I like the subject, and the way you have it framed, but the shot isn't real high impact for me. 8

The lighting isn't the best here. The nest is awfully dark in comparison to the well lit background. I like the placement of the nest in the shot, and the cropping and sizing is done well.
