I took this picture while I am heading back home after 2 years working in the USA. The clock suggests that 'it is the right time to go': something/someone is waiting me, the keys are for the doors I will lock for the last time, but might also open the doors of the old home, or open up new possibilities in the future, the empty frame suggests what I will miss, the pot and the purple bag suggests the gifts that were given to me, the memories of what I leave...
In terms of composition, I tried to emphasize the emptiness of the room, as if everything had been pack down in the suitcases. I like the warm colors: everything is gold/brown and black, with the touch of purple and green that I hope give depth to the picture, like the reflection of the hat into the frame.
Any comments or critics welcome!

Well thanks for explaining your hidden meanings. It was very personal for you and I hope you open those doors to the future! |

Don't we all wish to go sometimes. Nice idea. |

The bright reflection on the floor and the poster frame(?) is distracting... |

Good idea but execution seems hasty. Focus is just not crisp enough for a studio shot (for me). Composition is peculiar, it feels odd to me. I understand the empty house concept and last set of bags. Just the sugar/ashes urn and clock on the suitcase are odd as well. |

I really don't get the set up on this... What is the empty poster frame for? And who puts a clock and a pot on their luggage when they are ready to go? It just doesn't make sense as a scene you would happen upon or to convey the message you are trying to convey. |
