This is a self portrait shot on a tripod using the self timer outside the home shooting through the window. I have a small strobe set to my right acting as a coffee table lamp at 1/64th power as it was very close. As for editing I cropped to put my hand and eye on a third. I added some fill light, blacks, contrast and brightness. There was a glare line from the blinds to my left that I used the adjustment brush on to tone it way down. All editing was done in Lightroom 3.4.1.

I like the intensity of the shot, but find the black on the right waaaaaay to overpowering and pointless. This could easily have been cropped to midchest from the bottom, and virtually all of the black except for the edge near his face.
