This photo was taken at a place called "Skaddene" outside Risør, Norway. The area is dotted with small islands with a fantastic structure in the stone.

The photo has been taken with an ultrawide lens (10mm @ f/22) to emphasize the shapes of the rocks, then converted into B&W. The contrast has been increased to make the black structure stand out even more, then some dodging was done in the shady area in the bottom right.

That is an alien landscape for sure.. Is that granite or sandstone? Wonderful striations and a nice, balanced composition. Wish that harsh shadow wasn't there though - it's distracting away from the direction of the striations..
