Session #2 at getting a decent water drop shot. Made my own light tent and drop rig from an IV kit and some shelving. Blue food coloring in the water and blue gel on the flash. Took about 100 shots to get 3-4 good ones. Probably spent 5-6 hours total between setup, shooting, and editing!!!

Nice uniform background color, and nice concentric ripples. The detached crown is awesome and it's reflection is pure delight. There are two dark straight lines (one of the left top, and the other on the top right) that are distracting (and against the ripples). Also, the picture feels like a massive crop - it's missing detail on the crown itself.

DPC Cliche but still brilliantly done.

I see 2 tiny drops on your lens? (at the right, bottom) At first I thought they were on my screen :D
I know by experience that these shots are not as easy as it looks. I'm still searching the right speed to create a collision like yours.

I'm amazed you can get the timing right on these splashes. Are you doing them in some sort of saucer, or pond?

Neat how the upper drop has flattened... Nice catch.
