I should love this as i have a border collie but it has too much foreground which loses the subjects.

As this loaded I think it looked better with less foreground. Looks like you were on the wrong side of sun with dark shadows on the dog/cow and a bit bright overall. Maybe it's my monitor.

rule of thirds would of helped here, tough with a fixed lens and subject sizes 9
