Not quite what it wants to be - the color and general beauty of the bird is almost great, but not quite. The crop is a bit off (too high or too low, you choose), and the image just doesn't quite "pop", partially because the bird is standing in front of a light colored background, which is unevenly lit (dark would have been much better!)... The eye could have been dodged a bit too I think, that would have added a bit of impact (maybe even a bit of saturation too, give it some nice yellow in the bottom part).. The other thing about the image is that it seems just a little soft - especially towards the edges, not quite blurry enough to be bokeh, just not sharp... You could have accented that with a bit of selective blurring.. *shrug* nothing personal at all of course, just making a few suggestions that may have helped the image. ( Melethia made me do it...) |
