I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: So easy to have gone black and white here - I'm so glad you didn't. That flash of colour takes away a level of abstraction and transports us there. The fountain rain like a sparkling deluge diffuses the light brilliantly.

Critical stuff: I think it is a bit over-sharpened - there seems to be some cross-hatch sharpening/jpeg artefacting in the black areas of the image.

Overall: A very nice capture.

The water drops provide a wonderfull texture and I like the glass-like reflection in the foreground. Well done!

terrific capture! like the near monochrome look. only (small) nit to pick is that some cleaning up of the sidewalk with clone stamp or tool of your choice seems needed - eye is especially drawn to the round blob lower left. 7. gl
