I love the juxtaposition of the pale soft, happy colors and this capture of a really poor section of town. It adds an interesting contrast. Rather some irony that a depressed section of town should be so colorful. Looking forward to seeing some back story on this shot.

Nice layers and colors and story of life! I never thought about pastels being poor before but I guess if they're the opposite of deep, dark, rich reds and golds then maybe they are - good title!

This so reminds me of Nogalas, or down town of Puerto Vallarta. I love the colors of these places and you did a very nice job captureing the feel as well as the color!

Nice shot. I would have liked it better if you cropped it just below the roof line. The bottom shadow is distracting.

Fantastic, but i probably would've cropped the bottom left building.
