 A stack of spare railroad ties in the trainyards. Shot quite a variety of shots of these, but this pattern and composition stood out to me the most. Some of the others will be good with a little basic editing.

Post-challenge notes:
A very evenly balanced voting distribution shows this had it's share of lovers as well as people who thought it sucked. One of the highest commenter averages I've ever gotten tells me that the folks who liked it, liked it a lot. I totally nailed this one. Quite happy with it.

natural patterns... love it... expecially the ones that are falling apart and only left the wood behind. Great find - excellent capture.
