So what is this about? Whatever you make of it.
This is not in the technical photography style of bspurgeon but more to do with the actual thought process he brings to his images.
What I like about the Ben's stuff is the thoughts he puts into the viewers heads, his images always makes me look further into the photo and what it means, that's what I was trying to achieve here.
This took about 5 minutes to think of and 5 minutes to shoot, just walked out the back door found a dead sheep skull (plenty laying around here) on my 20 meter walk to the old shed where I knew there would be some nice afternoon
light coming in.
The title is just me having fun! There is no actual meaning to this image! The title has several "ideas" to me but could have more to others. You can read anything you want into the image and title. The title is my way to steer the viewer into thinking there is a meaning. I'm looking forward to seeing the comments and how people interpret the image and title.

Here are a few of my thoughts behind the title.

1/ More people on DPC are now taking far less cliche shots by following Posthumous like sheep.

2/ Posthumous is taking more pictures of sheep.

3/ More dead sheep are converting to religion.

4/ The sheep skull is symbolic of the sacrificial lamb and to remind us that Jesus died for our sins.

5/ This is evil and the work of the Devil.

Anyway just view the image and take away whatever you want from it....Good luck everyone, I'm looking forward to seeing all the entries and how others interpret Ben's style.

Great use of negative space, dramatic image, though the subject and style do not remind me of Ben's work.

Fabulous use of negative space and subject isolation. And strangely disturbing.

a sheep
of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy: he hath
borne me on his back a thousand times; and now, how
abhorred in my imagination it is! my gorge rims at
it. Here hung those lips that I have kissed I know
not how oft. Where be your baas now? your
gambols? your bleats? your flashes of merriment,
that were wont to set the barnyard on a roar? Not one
now, to mock your own grinning? quite chap-fallen?
Now get you to my lady's chamber, and tell her, let
her paint an inch thick, to this favour she must
come; make her laugh at that.

I LOVE this. His use of shadow is really utilized here. I love the single "spot light" on the skull. Love the title too. 7
