 Not to be disrespectful to Ben but this was probably the quickest shoot I have ever had for a DPC Challenge. Took the camera that still had the 9 stop filter on it and CPL Filter and took a hand held 2 second exposure whilst zooming in of blinds in my TV Room with the sun shining through it.
Editing was done with 2 variations of 1 exposure. One was simply almost SFTC and another where recovery in RAW was heavily used to stop clipping the bright white spot. Blended together with masks in Photoshop. Played a bit with luminosity masks, contrast, B&W adjustment layer and brightness.

I think rotated 90deg counterclockwise would have connected better with your title. Spot on for style.

Wild image. I like it. A firefly prison, or certainly trapped by shades of gray. Bizarre.

Yes, nothing more frightening than freedom. Or so I read it. The jail seems almost cozy for outside it is LIFE.
