Definite candid feel about it. Remote+takeout+setting=alone. So real. Sad. |

I was one of your 9s. This is a wonderful portrait, almost candid, and excellently captured. With the title, it's a perfect entry in this challenge. |

an almost religious luminescence, the play of smoke pointing to but obscuring his eye (window to the soul), and then the quotidian plebeian plastic food container. I have not got to the end of it. |

Didn't see this earlier (I think I forgot to go back and finish voting) but I'm surprised this only got a 6. Very strong image I think. Nice one. |

Powerful, powerful combination of words and imagery, an amazing portrait. My choice for blue, 10. |

I like the story. and the black & white. Some small suggestions: switch the title around, remove some items from table; crop a teeny tighter :) |

somehow this tells a story of a lazy afternoon (maybe it's the remote control, but I am thinking it is probably the small table packed with stuff one may need to survive a few hours without moving much). (not voting, but commenting is even more fun) |

I like the swirling smoke by the side of his face. |

This is nice but it would be much better if the smoke wasn't on his eye, good candid |

Very thought provoking image. I like it, the movement and the high contrast backdrop work well. I keep looking at the objects on the table for more clues and meaning.....then I basically come to the conclusion that this person is perhaps a bachelor or just a reclusive man living alone. I could be wrong but that is the beauty of this image, it has made me think more about it then most images.Maybe that has to do with the title and the type of challenge this is but who cares I appreciate the little piece of time you have captured here. |
