This is a powerful image. It feels almost as if she has been stripped of all emotion by the strains of life, and the severe lighting and simplistic composition really brings that to the fore. You have imitated a passport photo brilliantly. There is something haunting about her eyes, big, beautiful brown, yet empty.

This is a truly great shot.
