A reshoot of a male Williamson's Sapsucker

I think an improvement over my entry in Free Study 2010-05. But, I thought the first one was under appreciated. This one will likely be treated the same.

I appreciate the comments and have marked them all as "helpful". This is a wild bird in the wilderness. The shot distance is about 60'. Requests for more detail and more sharpness are not realistic. Sometimes, photos of captive birds can be sharper because the birds cannot flee. But, this bird is a wild bird and I'm shooting at the comfort distance for the bird. Degree of difficult is 100X greater than shooting birds in captivity.

Great timing on the photo. I bet he's happy to have that big of a meal. I do wish the face of the bird was a bit sharper.

I'm craving a closer look at him with less of the trunk of the tree, although that hole certainly indicates a possible nest inside (?)
