 June 17th is Iceland's National Day. It celebrates Icceland's independance and is also the birthday of Jón Sigurðsson, Iceland's biggest independance hero. June 17th, 2011 marks his 200th birthday.

This female quartett was playing in City Hall as part of the festivities downtown.
