 I went with Isaac to Cesar Chavez Park at the Marina to fly his new goldfish kite, which we got in Chinatown a few days before. While waiting for some friends to meet us I took some pictures of the water, bridges, and boats.

I was particularly taken by the way the guy's gaze seemed to follow the line of the breakwater out to the sailboat; it was the week after the "Freedom Challenge" and I thought the pose fit well with a longing for the freedom to just sail away from all our troubles ...

Had to do some major tone adjustment on the mountains/sky to get them to stand out; those cranes are part of the construction of the new eastern span of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge.
