Yea, ok, so it looks nothing like Folsom Prison, and is obviously a ruined castle not a prison at all but i'm in Wales not California dammit!! Perhaps try and imagine the song as sung by 13th-century minstrels with lutes.

This is the south-east tower of Caerphilly Castle. Built around 1270 it was actually used as a prison a few hundred years later around the time of the English Civil War so i'm not completely DNMC.

Plus, it's a little known fact that Folsom is actually twinned with the small Welsh town of Caerphilly and Johnny Cash used to holiday there regularly with June in the 1950s where they met Tom Jones. This did end quite badly though as June was quite smitten with the Welsh lothario. I believe she wrote the song, 'Ring Of Fire' about the slightly uncomfortable picnics the three of them used to have in the Welsh hills.

'For some reason, the style of this reminds me of Ezhik v tumane...I like it. :D'- Cinnabear

Ah, very pleased with this comment from Emi. I haven't seen this lovely animation for years and hedgehogs have been following me around in the fog a lot lately. A lovely serendipity.

Underrated. I pegged this for top 20 for sure. Nice going.

This song is my ringtone, so I had to give you an 8. hehe

I really like the "oldness" feel created through the clouds and grit.

13th-century minstrels with lutes.

I'm trying. That brings a whole new feeling of grief to the image.

I like the dark tones of the castle, but the sky above it is not as smooth and you might like.

Nice processing and dark moody feel.

I like the shot (though, a train is critical to the song,) but otherwise, the contrast, and the tree on the right is brilliant.

Prison? More like the gates of hell.

Looks like Caerphilly Castle, so I'm guessing this is Clive's. I love the dark tones, the sheer massiveness of the structure, the tree, and the interesting sky. The leaning tower adds nicely to the feeling of melancholy. Lovely.

I actually played that on YouTube the other day after this challenge was announced. You can't go wrong with Johnny Cash. This looks like someplace in England, but it'll do. Love the edit. Nice one. 7

Very cool. My two favorite parts are the little cloud center right, and thet tree in the foreground.
