Maybe I'm naive, but I have no idea what this makes... LOL.
I think this would've looked better if it had a same color backdrop as color of what's beneath the items... I think there's a word for this, can't think of it though. |

Darn it, now I have to go to town and buy chips & salsa. (Is garlic usually purple? I don't think I have ever seen that before)
Society seems to keep slipping back & forth from not caring at all about what they eat to caring way too much. One doctor will tell you one thing, and another will tell you something totally different. It's so hard to know what is good for you and what is not in a world that has both fat people and starving people. I love your message. It comes across loud and clear. :) |

I very much appreciate this concept. However... The lighting here is far too brash giving spot light to part of the image and harsh shadows abound. (Perhaps a reflector would help?) I realize still life, by design, is staged. But this is SOOOO staged it feels uncomfortable- as opposed to feeling like a glimpse of 'life', I feel as though I can here the photographer saying 'Move the knife 2 cm to the left....' The staging dominates my attention over the idea. |

Nice idea. Lighting is a tad harsh. |
