I actually really like this. There's something haunting about it almost. The style of the black and white is excellent. Perhaps if you shielded their stands with some grass...make it look like they were in a field...but really, this is great.

Most silhouettes that do well in these challenges tend to be static and lifeless. They often get by on color and sharpeness alone. Sometimes the subjects are asked to jump in an attempt to make the image come alive, which is what a photograph really needs. Here, the subjects aren't even alive much less jumping around yet this is more real than many other photos depicting real subjects. A credit to the photographer.

What I like: The grainy/noisey feel it's got. Makes it seem like it's an old photograph from war time.

What I don't like: that I can pretty much tell that's figurines. Also, I think the background/sorrounding is a bit plain. I would've added some more props to make it seem like an actual location. Also, it seems a tad bit tilted?

But nonetheless, I enjoy this. The composition is good and I like the different positions of all the soldiers.

I love the grain in this. Somehow it fits very well and reminds me of something a young boy in the 1950s would have photographed when he was experimenting with his new fancy camera.

are these paper cutouts?

the grain is awesome, as is the low contrast area in the bottom. This would be made stronger for me with the background 'dudes' a bit more OOF, and pushed more to the left plane.
