 She and hubbie are mad at Sophie and me. We must be close to the nest. I love her pose, and how she is situated in front of a highlight, like a shadow play.

I worked quite a bit on this. After cropping off the sides, I used bold detail in Topaz, blended in. I used more of it on the bird and stick. I also used sharpening on the bird and stick, while using gaussian blur on the background, just to clean up some noise.

I might like this better as an abstract, with even the bird much more out of focus. But here, it's just an out-of-focus bird that's just enough in focus to keep me wanting to see more detail.
