Good use of lighting, framing, and humor.

Great use of motion, and this is elevated above others in that it also tells a story too many are familiar with! ;0)
Great set up.. great tones...excellent use of imagination and imagery.

Great motion on this, fits the challenge perfectly.
The line down the right hand side is very distracting though. Maybe this should have been cropped into a more squarish shape now that the rules allow it?
Still a very good shot. Well done.

Gavel is wonderfully clear. It the thing that's being hit was clearer, it would be a 9 or 10. I'm giving you and 8. Motion passed - Inspzil

A well portrayed concept. Technically as well as intellectually excellent performance marks here. Keep up the wonderful original work....8 bullwinkle

Good take on the challenge. The motion is undeniable in more ways than one, including the play on words. I like the rich, warm coloring of the wood, and the pattern of the grain. The bg works well to isolate the subject.
Composition is good, and includes interesting lines such as diagonal, and curve. Good idea, well executed.

Like the shot, would have liked to see the base still and not moving.

The idea for the picture is very good, as is the composition. Focus could be better, specifically on the base. Motion is well captured.

I had the same idea from watching the beginning of Judge Joe Brown. Couldn't find the props though. You've executed this shot very well. Good job and good luck. Jacko. 9

I would like to know the shutter speed here. The base is slightly out of focus but when you do a macro shot like this you do not have that much to work with DOF wise. Good job of getting the Gavel in focus on its way down. Good shot.

Motion is depicted contrary to the title. Good idea.

Nice lighting. Great mood setting really brings out the wood colour. The clarity of the hammer at the gavel is great.

Nice play on words. ;-) The image is also pretty good, but marred (for me at least) by the way the base thingy (whatever the name is for what the hammer hits) isn't in perfect focus.
