A white deer! Lovely creatures; while I was in the area for another reason I just HAD to drive over and see if I could find some to photograph. I was thrilled when I spotted some :-)
PP - tonemapped in qtpfsgui (pregamma 0.697, mantiuk method, contrast mapping 0.1, saturation factor 1.029, detail factor 1), Gaussian blur and brighten on tonemapped layer and merged in multiply mode, pasted tonemapped layer in again and erased all but deer head and merged with 30% transparency, white balance, cloned out one tree stump and a couple of spots on the deer, dodged/burnt deer head a little, increased saturation, resized, sharpened, added border. |

Nice title. I just read somewhere that "fairies" or "faerie" and later interpretations, such as Tolkien's "elves" are really the same thing. Not the little fairies the size of butterflies- the tinkerbells, but fairies like the green night in "Sir Gawain and the Green knight." big mean faerie- elves.
