I took this photo while watering my tulip garden. This tulip looked beautiful with the water on its petals so I had to get my camera.

Often it seems like the shallow dof closeups leave a of the subject oof unintentionally. In this case it not only seems deliberate, but really makes for a great shot! I love how the subject's "private parts" flatten losing depth, falling to the background while the petal's edge, replete with dew drop, pops irresistibly drawing the eye.

you have beautiful clarity on the petal...but for the composition of this it's just not enough to make it really appealing TO ME...sorry

Clever focus away from the obvious focal point.

Love the detail.

I like the selective focusing. It makes your image unique and makes it stand out among the rest. The sharpness is excellent and so is the composition.

Not so sure I like the composition or DOF. My eye immediately goes to the OOF center of the tulip. The colours are nice.

I like the idea you have gone for here, using a very shallow depth of field to reveal the organic shapes of the flowers curling petals, but feel you needed crisper focus, or perhaps just a little more sharpening, on the parts you are drawing the viewers attention to.
