 Just a wonderful rose I saw, presented in monochrome...

I went out for a walk around the neighborhood to shoot for this challenge and came back with over 500 images. On the plus side, I'm capturing more images that don't need much or any post-processing (this one only has some sharpening). I was a little torn on choosing this image over others I got, as a rose might be considered over-done, but I just couldn't ignore the wonderful contrast of the bright flower petals against the dark background.

this is totally technical and in the eye of the beholder (ME)...but it seems that you could have cropped this a little differently to really reduce the amount of "dead" space you have in the picture (mostly on the left side) it really does not add to the photo...and it would have kept the flower in the rule of thirds...mind you this is JMO....

Nice creamy white of the rose. Crop or compose a little more carefully at the top. Maybe crop the right inch off the frame too? Nice overall!
