 Happy to Have a top 5, this was taken in the morning right at sunrise, just as the sun cracks over the mountains behind me.
Sunrise in the mountains actually lights the mountain tips and then moves down the mountains and then onto the land or valley bottom. This was taken while the water and ground directly in front of me were still in the dark.

you don't get this kind of light and shadow at 2pm, i really don't know how you can say this can taken in mid-afternoon.

I have to say...this is the clearest photo I've ever seen. Looks a little bright to be sunset but will not take points away.

Taking another look.... Looks like the sun is behind and to the left of the leftmost peak but I can't be sure. If the "DPC Challenge Description Police" don't pull this down, it should ribbon easy ! Moving up to a 10.

Ok...this is my top score. There is a cityscape that may beat this out for the Blue but it should be close !

My god look at those colors! The rock in the lower right is a bit distracting. Then again, the photo may have been a bit "to balanced" if it weren't there. Great photo!

Good clarity. Attractive reflection. Not sure about the sky. I sometimes see this when I use a polarizing filter. 8
