Into the dark...there is something so psychologically mysterious about such sharp shadow...they can feel safe or scary, they're almost like portals into other realms, if you let them be.

Absolutely. The shadow is what makes this stand out. There is just enough detail in the shadow area to show that the bird does have room to fly.
