 These guys have infested my backyard. Our gardens are doing great except for the cucumber plant in the vegetable garden. Snails apparantly love to eat cucumber leaves and are currently feasting on mine. This snail posed for me Saturday morning.

I think this if the first snail shot I have ever seen with the shell not being the main focus. Extra points for originality. Great detail on the snail head and antennas.

Is a snail a bug? I don't think so. Good!

Seriously, this is vry well caught. I love the translucense of the eye stalks. Colors and focus are good. If it were me, I might have tried to color shift the background. Having said that, I would also have lacked the skill to do it well. Really nice picture.

There is something just fundamentally "cute" about this picture. I love the antennae (if that's what they're called) and I love the pink. It really makes something that I'd normally be grossed out by quite attractive. Great shot.
