I like that you tried to create a clean image with a white background. It appears that the subject in your photo is a little "burnt". This is what we call an subject that has been backlite to the point that it is overexposed from behind.

This is a good workmanlike image but it feels flat and lifeless. I think multiple light sources and some shadowing would have helped.
